Bremont is a true rarity in the modern timepiece industry.
Independently owned, the company produces incredibly high-quality, purpose-built timepieces in Great Britain with a distinctively aeronautical theme. Utilizing its custom Trip-Tick cases and modified Swiss calibers tuned to Chronometer grade, Bremont's collection showcases the passion for engineering and aviation that the owners, Nick & Giles English, hold close to their hearts. We're suckers for timepieces with soul, and Bremont has it in spades.
This Jaguar D-Type was inspired by and pays tribute to the Ecurie Ecosse racing team who won Le Mans 24 Hours in both 1956 and 1957 - in a D-Type of course. This piece is one of only 300 pieces that were made and features a hardened 43mm stainless steel, Trip-Tick case equipped with their signature DLC-coated barrel.
Accompanying this robust case is a blue dial contrasted by a pair of silver subsidiary registers and a red chronograph seconds hand. The dial also features a date window at 6 o'clock, luminous Arabic markers and a tachymeter scale bordering the dial.
Powered by BE-50AE self-winding movement, this piece is outfitted on a signed perforated leather strap with a signed deployant buckle. What's more this piece comes complete with its full kit including a signed leather folio from Jaguar's Design Director, Ian Callum.
A distinguished gentleman needs a distinguished watch — this Jaguar D-Type chronograph, or any Bremont for that matter — is exactly that!
