Iconic for a reason
Tipping its hat to the original G-Shock pioneered in 1983 comes a new tribute to the properly iconic square-cased DW-5600 reference invented by Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe. This new reference retains that original vision and spirit, but it's been updated with today’s cutting-edge technologies to yield a supremely faithful re-creation of the original iconic design.
Just like the first, the case is made of stainless steel, and the original band design, too, which have both been reproduced down to the smallest detail — length, form, and even the position of the dimples. The case size has been updated to 42.3 mm from the original 41.6 mm. In a further nod to where G-Shock began and how far it has come, the bezel and band are, like the original, made with resin, but now bio-based. This material is expected to help reduce environmental impact.
